Bio: One of the original "mommy bloggers," I've been at it since 2004. Check the archives. Now I just call myself a writer. Most of my material is on the web, but the best stuff is still in my journal under the bed.
You’re very brave, letting him do that on the kitchen table…
Very Fun!
an artist AND a singer!!
You are one brave lady. Not me. Ohhhhhh no.
I know it seems risky, but here’s the thing. The table has already had a good life. He’s wearing a smock. The paints are washable. And, he LOVES it. He is occupied for five whole minutes. In a row! Call it a coping mechanism, but Art Project actually works for us.
I love that he is using lots of colors! Jackson just draws lots of oval “springs” and declares them rockets. Over. and over. and over. and over.
May try this!

This must be the ‘before’. Everything is too neat. Where is the ‘after’, with the paint everywhere, the 10 different works of ‘art’, and the smeared and paint covered smock? Wait… is he actually wearing the smock? How do you do it?
