A. The problem with a live taping of american idol is that you can’t fast forward though all the bs.
B. Still, I’m jealous that you get to go.
C. I heart Michael Johns.
D. I listened to Go Diego Go music from the Live Show CD this morning. And yesterday. And all last week. Not only do I not get to hear my own music, but I don’t get to see grown up theater anymore, either.

Yeah, it’s sad and you’re right, when you finally get to listen to your music it makes you sad. I have no advice other than a reminder that you’re not alone. (Oh, and also – someone turned me onto a band you might like – check out Vampire Weekend.)

This post made me a little….. I don’t want to say sad, but that’s the closest I can come…I’m 11 weeks away from welcoming our daughter into this world and I know that the moment it happens my life will irrevocably change in ways I can’t even fathom. This post made me think of just one of those ways that it will change. Of course, I’m happy and eager for that but also a little overwhelmed at the enormity of it all. Geez. Sorry, I didn’t maean to make this comment all about me…. I think, I’m hoping, that deep down, (or maybe not so deep down) you ARE still that girl.

While we totally rocked out to mommy’s version of “You are my Sunshine” on the way to work today, we then sang Jax fav, “Oh What You do to Me” by Plain White T’s.
He does not know there is such thing as kid music in the car, except for his bed time CD when we are headed on a long trip. We do listen to his music sometimes at home, but turn the radio on quite a bit too. I have never been quite a music hound, so don’t know if I am breeding him that way or not.
As for being hip, you were very hip, while I was not, then I got hip for awhile, and had a wardrobe of which you would be proud for about 1 year prior to Jax coming along. I still get to see it with the new Lisa in my life, the beautiful petite princess in my office, because she wears at least a few pieces of those short and fitted tops, size 6 & 8 pants, cute skirts, at work each week!
For the third day in a row, I am sporting a truly Tricia outfit of khaki pants, navy fleece of fleece vest, white tee and tennis shoes. A hair clip or scrunchy has been close at hand. So I guess I am hip, and an ND sort of way!
(Yes. I am delirious from working until 1 AM last night and back at it at 8 this AM.) Sorry for the long post, but you still have it!
