I like to tell people what I think.  The best place to do that is here, on my blog, where all opinions are my own and I am sometimes paid to share them.  I’ve been blogging here at House of Prince since 2004, before most people had ever heard the word “blog,” before the “mommy blog” marketing craze began, before Twitter, even.

People tell me I am a good writer, and I believe them.  They also say I should write a book, and I might someday, but books don’t have any place to comment in them, and you can’t share them on Twitter or Facebook, and I like the immediate feedback of writing a post or a story or a memory and hitting “publish” and seeing my words and photos and the very special way I arranged them magically appear on my screen, for all the world to see.

After two or three or ten or a hundred people read my blog, I was offered jobs to write for other online outlets, and I was invited to appear in video campaigns, and I was asked to help a charity, and I was invited to join exclusive online communities, and I was allowed to speak on a panel at a business conference.  I became a resource for parenting information and humor, and a person to ask for ideas about what to do with your children in Los Angeles.

Once upon a time I was a TV producer specializing in reality, clip shows, and interviews.  Now I am the Features Editor for the “Best of LA” section at CBS Local Los Angeles, where I manage contributions from over 25 writers over 6 main topics, handling their words with care and making them look great online.  I also manage a household that includes my husband and two little boys.  I love to travel and especially to visit my extended family on the east coast.  I love to read.  And I love a tasty cocktail.

If your project needs a human voice who tells it like it is, please contact me at ktphop@gmail.com and we’ll talk.  If you need to show your boss or your client how suitable I am and how excited you are about me, here is what I do and what I have done:
