I’m bringing Kyle with me to the election place in about 10 minutes. I wrote about my intentions to do so for The SFV (San Fernando Valley News) and the article appeared on their website yesterday. To my horror, a Google Ad for “Yes on Prop 8” appeared smack in the middle of the text, spoiling the intent of my lovely, non-partisan article. Thank goodness the editor changed it on my request. If you support equal rights in California, please visit the site, read my article, and show your approval of the editor’s just actions in the comments section.

Nice Article.
I’m glad you took Kyle to vote with you. I remember going to vote with my parents when I was little. It is important to instill in kids. Congrats to you. I also liked your article and can well imagine your horror art having a “Yes on 8” thing on it. I’m glad they took it down.
Gosh, I raised a very smart Mom…
We voted mid-morning today to avoid the crowds. Why is it the old retirees insist on voting at 7am so that the working folks can’t get into the polls?? We commented that it was the first time since she’d been born that Heather had not gone to vote with us, as she was in pre-school. And as our polling place is the clubhouse of a 55+ community, the poll workers remember us each year. One commented today that he missed seeing our daughter with us. Amendment 2 is the anti-gay amendment on our ballot. I voted against it, but am afraid it will pass.
Good article. I saw the same Election meal idea in Family Fun magazine. I’ll probably try it next election – I thought our kids were a little too young to get the idea this time.
