1. Twilight. I hereby revoke my initial reaction to the fact that we have to read it for book club, which was “GROAN.” My new reaction is “Curse you, Lori!” I am obsessed, and it’s really kind of pathetic.
2. Stewart’s three-week-and-counting cold. He constantly clears his throat and it makes me want to throw dishes. God, it’s annoying. The man will not see a doctor, and now we are traveling with Festering Stew to CT Wednesday night.
3. Um, yeah, I’m thinking about NOT thinking about that trip which is now only 48 hours away. The packing and finagling and organizing and wrangling of children…no, I musn’t think of it.
4. E’s birthday! She officially ushers us into the year of turning 38. Ugh, I mean, Happy Birthday, E!
5. My friend Holly, mentioned below, had her twin girls on New Year’s Eve: Claire and Lily, what lovely names. Congratulations, Holly!
6. I just realized, no really, after four years of blogging, that my text is really teeny tiny. Maybe my eyesight is getting worse, but looking at my home page just now, I thought “Wow, if I was a newcomer, I would NOT read this blog.” Maybe that is why you, my tried and true average of 50 visitors a day, are the only ones who have stuck around, because you have exceptional eyesight? Maybe it’s time for a change?

I am guilty of sucking many of my colleagues (and my sister) (And my brother in law, and he was even man enough to admit it) into the Twilight series. (In his defense… he had them in his classroom and I suggested he read them himself before deciding whether they were appropriate. Book 4 is, IMO, not.)

Just for what it is worth: I DESPISE large font on websites. I think it makes them look un professional. Yours looks great.
No exceptional eyesight here. I’ve been so ridiculously nearsighted for years and now I am in denial about the fact that my bifocal years are knocking on my door…
I always wonder the same thing about my site — the white on the green. Is it hard to read? Do I change it up?
But, for the record, I find your blog totally readable.
You are the 10th person who has raved about Twilight. I’ve been dragging my heels about it…but maybe, just maybe, I should get over my literary self already…like I said. Maybe.
Twilight?? 14 yr old also became obsessed. My sister gave her the book when she heard that Rebecca wanted it – 3 days later we were headed to the book store for number 2, within a few more days it was mom – can we order the third one?? So we wait for the USPS to deliver. Guess it’s my turn to pick it up and see if it has the holding power of the Harry Potter series, yes I read them all – some twice! Have a safe trip to CT!! Hope to see you while you are here.

I am such a Twilight obsessed fan…I have read all of the books in the series twice and seen the movie 3 times. I am obsessed to the point that I am currently working on a fanfic based on the series. I am a 38 year old mom of 2 and there are times when I have to admit I wish I was Bella Swan and Edward Cullen was my man — or vamp. He’s the epitme of what every woman wants in a “man”.
I am so glad you are enjoying Twilight! I am loving it. I cracked up over your evite comment. I helped convince Bernie to choose the book too, so I’m glad it’s a winner!
If you hit apple +, it makes text bigger in your browser. apple + is my best friend, even with the lasik. (Not sure what the button is on a PC – ctrl? option? no idea)
Yep, I shore do luv you to keep coming back and reading the teeeeeny tiny print. I’d be ever so grateful if you bumped it up a point.
yes… twilight is very addicting isn’t it? Have you seen the movie??
