1. Yes, I cried.
2. Kyle was delighted. He bounded off and left me, his aging and weepy mother, in the proverbial dust.
3. Stewart was unflappable, as usual. He took the milestone in stride.
4. I just realized that Kyle has to go BACK. Like, every DAY.
5. More on this Thursday morning on LA Moms Blog. I will link when post is ready.

Actually, he probably left you in the literal smoke.
He looks so adorable, and that kind of confidence is nothing but a good thing.
So, you’re not one of the Moms on FaceBook doing happy dances about school starting back up? Not yet? Soon, honey, soon. Enjoy him while you’ve got him…
Happy First Day of School Kyle
Love you,
“aging and weepy”
Now that makes me depressed.
It could have been worse; if he had cried and clung to you, you would have been aging and weepy and guilt-ridden. Oh, wait: that’s me after dropping Cosette off at pre-K this morning.
I got the, “Mommy, when are you LEAVING?!”
No tears for each of us. I might have been a bit sad. Year 2 is soooo much easier. Plus, I am chronically dropping him off somewhere.
Holy crap, he looks old in that picture.
Luke started last week. I felt the same. Plus, Erin is potty training and seems much older now, too. Gives me baby fever.
Yay Kyle! He’ll love preschool! 🙂
Aged and weeping…oy, so evocative. I’m picturing a hag crawling on her elbows (and knees, I guess) through the grit and gravel to fling herself at her boy’s feet.
Helooks just like a little”Prince” he also is adorable We love you all
Nana & Grandpa
wow. he looks older then 4 and a half. glad he likes school.
I think every kid or students loves their first day at school.
