More about Kyle’s first day of school at LA Moms Blog. Today was the third day of school, and I already forgot that it was “share day,” on which the children bring in something that starts with a certain letter. Kyle really wanted to bring an apple. We didn’t remember until we were at school, and by “we” I mean ME. Big loser preschool mom. Tomorrow is another share day, so I have a chance to redeem myself.

Oh, Kimmy! Year one at school is hard for the first 6 months or so. You will slowly meet more parents, their kids, Kyle will become friends. There will be birthday parties (I have pre-wrapped games downstairs!), sports.
Then, believe it or not, year 2 or kindergarten, or whatever his second year in the same place will be, will be fun. You will look forward to it, just like you did your moms groups with the strollers in the park.
p.s. But my eyes still did well abit on Monday when I headed down the stairs after dropping him off.
