Today is my Mom’s birthday. The only reason she won’t kill me for posting this photo is that I’m in it, too. I mean, just look at our matching hairstyles! It was the 80’s – what can I say?
Look at her – her perfect skin and her perfect teeth. She wasn’t even 40 yet, and there she was with a snotty 16 year old. Thank God I turned out to be the awesome loving, responsible, breeding adult she always wanted! The one who orders gifts that arrive on time for her birthday. Oh wait… Mom, your gift is in the mail.
Here we are in 2002. Look at my mom. She looks amazing. I don’t know what to say about my pants. I can’t really blame it on 2002, which is not a year famous for its bad fashions.
Fast forward to 2012. I’ve at least come a long way and she still looks fabulous, especially with the rocker pink I put in her hair that day for when we took my sister out to lunch just before she had my niece.
This is my all time favorite picture of her. It was 2005, and she had flown to my rescue when Kyle was born and took care of me for two weeks. It was the greatest gift.
I threw this one in because how awesome? Coolest Gramma ever.

Oh my God! You had to throw in the worst picture ever! (Actually, I know there is a worse picture than this one!)
Thank you sweetie. I love you too! And see you soon!
So much love here!(Along with the red pants. I mean, come on.)
Still, beauty – inside and out – shines through despite the fashion and hairstyles.
Happy birthday, Kim’s mom.
Hope your day has been wonderful.
