Scene: last night, photo counter at Walgreens.
Me, holding baby, smiling: Hello, I have a pickup for Prince.
Clerk, blank stare: Yeah…?
Me: That’s the last name.
Clerk: Oh, I thought you meant “prints.”
Me: Oh, haha! I guess everyone comes in here for PRINTS. Haha! Kyle, isn’t that funny?
Kyle: Haha!
Clerk: (silence)

haha, Clerk was obviously a teenager, high on pot, or both.
well, I thought you were clever. Guess the joke went right over his head.
Very funny! I love “crickets chirping” moments with complete strangers.
Boy, you’d think you lived in my county. Sounds like the “service” is about the same. Everyone acts like they’re entitled to something.
Kim
you have to admit that is funny

Try giving MY last name when you go pick up pictures! Talk about blank stares!
OK. I just busted up – and YES, I spilled my coffee damnit.
Kim, I wish I could convey subtle comedy like that thru online words. That takes a great talent.
(Hi Kim, I know I never post because it’s been a while since I’ve been on your wonderful blog – but I’ve reorganized my favorites bar – and you’re under a drop down called “DAILY” – so that’s promising isn’t it??)
All my love …
