BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD
Say it with me: Blue Cross sucks!
I actually had to review the last week to try and remember who pissed me off enough to earn this award. Last week, Regis and Evil-Blonde-Bug-Eyed-Skinny-Chick won, hands down, without doubt of any kind. But this week turned out to be much more mild. In fact, despite my own self-pitying drama, it was a pretty good week. Maybe because I was so self-absorbed, I didn’t pay much attention to those around me. Besides the bad drivers. They suck.
Anyway, yesterday I was creating a “budget” for our family to stick to (hahahahaha) in an attempt to get us on some sort of spending plan aimed at stretching out our Mommy Salary savings for 6 more months while I try to decide what to do with My Life. In my review of how we spend our discretionary money (mostly on groceries and the elusive “household” category), I came upon a “medical” item for $110. Oh yeah, I remembered, that was the charge for the pediatrician in Connecticut who checked Kyle’s ears to make sure they were not infected before we got back on a plane. BCBS assured me that I would be reimbursed. I promptly submitted the documents, kept a copy, and then forgot about it.
After rediscovering this document, I checked online. They totally received it, processed it, and decided I should be paid. Um, on January 25. Hello?!
I still have to call them. But given their track record (see previous rants), I am predicting that they will be difficult and asshatty, and so I am preemptively giving them this award.
Oh, and since you’re all whining so much:
This is Kyle trying to climb up into my lap as I type. Yes, still my pajamas.
Update: Turns out Blue Cross sent my payment to THE DOCTOR. And THE DOCTOR has not reimbursed me! So now Orange Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine shares this week’s award!

THANK YOU!!! I really needed this today!
I’ll go pick it up for you. And then I’ll mail it…in a month or so…
Kidding! Cute picture…I think I have the same robe!
Well thank you for giving into our whining! I enjoy the daily postings and Kyle’s picture is always a bonus!
You go get ’em! Love that word “asshatty”, gonna have to put it to good use.
Hey, that’s my pediatrician and I love them.
