Do I Have To Stop This Car and Come Back There?

April 2, 2006 Kim Tracy Prince 11 Comments

Y’all are crazy. But I have to admit, it’s nice to pull up my site and see “32 comments” in the little blue link under that last post.

A few observations and then a picture.

1. Frank McCourt’s book “Teacher Man” made me want to write a book. (So did Stefanie’s book advance…but that’s a different matter altogether.)
2. You know how I said I never actually looked for a job – they keep falling in my lap? And that’s one of the reasons I don’t want to go back to work, because I would actually have to look for work? Well, a job might be falling in my lap. It feels wrong to say no. On the other hand, see my 2,587 posts below on how I hate the thought of leaving Kyle…
3. My dog = not a big fan of having her face vacuumed.
4. If Kyle does not have what it takes to become an engineer like his Pa, at least he has a future in the furniture-moving industry. Or perhaps conceptual art. Or whatever that art is that consists of taking things and moving them into places that would surprise you. Like kitchen chairs in the front hallway, ottomans under the kitchen table, and highchairs in front of the kitchen sink.
5. I went to Methodfest last night – my first foray into the film festival scene in a long time. The after-party was at a Ferrari-Mazerati dealership. The creme puff was out of this world. I didn’t get home until midnight (whoo! Mama parties it up!) and now I’m over-tired to the point of picking fights with Stewart for no good reason. You know the feeling.

Dear party hat: He’s just not that into you.

I just finished Teacher Man for my book club. I think you could write a better book – one that wasn’t one long stream of consciousness, at least. I was less than impressed.

I see we’re “auditioning” for the birthday party. Hmmm…try putting a mirror in front of him so he can see what a Prince he is!

Ummm…gentle suggestion: Time to update your profile picture (actually I mean Kyle), don’t you think?

If someboday can show me how to Photoshop a new Kyle head onto that picture, I’ll do it. I look so hot in that picture. Haven’t been able to match that standard since.

Listen, hat-pins went out of stlye a long time ago. You have to find a new way to keep the hat on his head. Duct-tape, maybe?
I’m kidding…Kyle, please don’t hate me when you get old enough to read this!
