Seven Things I Learned Today

1. Black pants, comfy/cute top, and cute earrings are a good go-to outfit when you can’t decide what to wear. Thank you to all commenters! Skirts will follow. (Does anyone care enough to want to see pictures of my work outfits? I doubt it.)

2. I would very much like to visit Machu Picchu someday.

3. There is such a thing as eyelash extensions. (Okay I learned that last week but I’ve been sitting on that piece of information, letting it percolate, coming to terms with it, and now I’m ready to share.)

4. Brady can say “happy,” “blast off,” “you okay?” and “hot dog” among other things.

5. This blog is f-ing funny. I literally laughed until I was crying today in my little tiny green cubicle. Nobody poked their heads over the wall to see what I was laughing at. If I were them, I would have. I mean, just look at this example of a sendup of crafts gone bad:

“It’s a cat. It’s a doorstop. It’s a brick. Covered in fabric and given a head.” Maybe you had to be there but check it out. If you don’t laugh, you might be too serious a crafter. In that case you would probably call yourself an “artisan” and you’re too busy in your kiln house to even read a blog.

6. Getting to yoga class late means you have to spend the hour with other people much too close to your ass.

7. Hot dogs are a perfectly acceptable “dinner” for a Monday night.
