I see many of you have gotten a chance to see the pictures I posted yesterday. Since I was so distraught about the missing shots of the first pumpkin patch visit, I made Stewart promise to accompany us to a better one last weekend. So this time, we drove for an hour, paid $7.50 each to go into the farm, and we had free reign of the animal displays the fun things to climb on, the pumpkin patch, and the hay ride. These pictures were cute, but as I have learned, the first take is always the best. Luckily, none of you saw those other shots so you don’t know what you’re missing.
Life is a bit different here at the HOP these days. I’m now working T-TH for a friend doing similar work but for tighter deadlines, so there’s no time to surf the net during the day. And, um, no time to do it at night either. What’s an Elderly Mom to do?
Right now I have a moment – just a quick one – because I don’t have to be at work until 10am today. So I wanted to tell you that I have been checking out your blogs here and there but I haven’t had much time to comment. Hopefully things will calm down a bit once this first deadline has passed. Also, I seem to be getting some of my old energy back. Last night after dinner I went to the mall. I had to buy a book for the book club I joined (that’s a different post) and also I had to buy clothes for Kyle. He seems to have grown out of most of his pants. They are long enough, but when I try to button them, his big squishy belly gets in the way. He looks down at what I’m doing as if he’s studying how to button his fly…you know, for later. Anyway, I found a great sale and came home with three outfits. All he needed was pants, but…you know how it is.
Not sure when I’ll get back here to post but rest assured that we are all healthy and rascally and looking forward to Notre Dame beating UCLA this Saturday. Go Irish! (That one is for Jay.)

Juliette, at her 3 year check up, weighed 30 lbs. Kyle is really growing up!
Good to hear from you! Glad things are going well.
“Elderly Mom” – you crack me up. It’s okay, you’re not alone in being a geriatric mother ๐ Yes, it is hard to resist those cute little clothes. And my girl needs a butt to keep her pants from falling down, skinny little thing!
I expect the Irish to pound UCLA into the ground. *sings* .. Cheer, cheer for old Notre Dame …
Eeesh, I know exactly how you feel. I usually do exactly what I’m doing right now…try to get around to everyone’s blogs in one night because I’ve missed a few days, and end up being awake at almost 5am…STILL. NOT GOOD. Anyway, all that to say “I get it!” ๐
Great photos from pumpkin picking! And how fun!!!
Hi Kim. Blogger beta is better because it is easier to edit your template, you can change the layout of your blog easily, add and remove elements easily, the dashboard is easier and faster to use- and you don’t even need to use the dashboard to write new posts. Posts are published in a blink of an eye. Also, I wanted to be able to add labels to my posts and you can do that with beta. Once you change you can’t go back but I don’t know why you would want to.
