Dear Hawaiian Host,
I am having a fantastic time here. Thanks to Twitter I went to a tweetup last night at the Honolulu Design Center hosted by Kelly Mitchell and met some lovely locals, one of whom is the sales representative for Atlantis. Today after breakfast with Rachel and Nancy, I went to Pearl Harbor and did not have to wait in line or have any wait time for the movie and ride out to the USS Arizona. Later I met Janey from Atlantis and she brought me aboard the vessel as her guest, and then we sat at Tropics at the Hilton during happy hour. Directly from there I met the gang at the float building area at the old Comp USA center and toured the floats-in-progress and then grabbed dinner at Ono Hawaiian on Kapahulu (kahlua pig, rice, smoked pork, and something white and gelatinous that tasted sweet and delicious) on my way back to the hotel. I sat at the pool area to eat my food and get a beverage to go with it, and there I met and chatted with the waitress and two business travelers who have both lived in Hawaii in the past.
Wow. Reading over what I just wrote made me tired. Oh! I guess I’m tired! Since I have to be up by 5:15 to get ready to walk down to Ala Moana park to view more parade preparations, I will call it a day now. What a day it was.
Mahalo, for everything,
Kim
