Brady has a distinct style of dress. He insists upon long-sleeved shirts and long pants, even on very warm days. He has adopted a black and white biker’s bandanna as his own, and often wears it as a little do-rag to school. He wore his rubber firefighter boots so much they recently fell apart.
For Christmas he wanted new boots, but I waited until after Christmas to buy them, because I knew that he would have to be with me to select the style and try them on. Yesterday we headed out to the very messy shoe department of an enormous department store, and hunted through the piles of disarray until we found these:

Brady is so proud of his new boots. When I picked him up at school, the teachers said that was all they heard about all day, and they were corrected when they told him they liked his new shoes. “They’re BOOTS!” he insisted.
The best thing about them? “They make me go fast,” he says.
Here’s hoping there’s enough room in the boots for Brady to wear them for a little while. It is hard for him to let go of a favorite item of clothing once he’s attached himself to it.

Very sweet! Love the boots. p.s. Pretty much all of Jackson’s shoes have to make him “go really fast”!
If his name were Christopher you could say those boots were made for Walken.
@suz Let’s hope he’ll follow in Jax’s athletic footsteps.
@Ilina LOL.
