He Wears Dora Underpants, But Otherwise He’s ALL Boy

May 6, 2008 Kim Tracy Prince 6 Comments

A quick little example of how my children exhibit their maleness with no subtlety at all:

This evening, I was on the phone with Stefanie. As usual, the second I tried to have a phone conversation, the boys go insane with energy. We were outside, and Kyle started throwing dirt in the little pool. Brady tried over and over and over again to get in the muddy pool. Then Kyle stomped into the pool with his shoes and socks on, and paraded around the back yard in circles, stopping during each rotation to re-soak his feet.

Then he threw a cup at my face and laughed, while Brady crawled through the soggy backyard to my leg and wiped his slime all over my pants.

Meanwhile, Stefanie’s three-year-old daughter was playing with Barbies and Minnie Mouse, quietly and happily.

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
What is it about Mom on the phone that sends kids wild? Aunt Jeannie used to go through the same thing with your cousins.

If it makes you feel any better, my little girl would be wiping slime on me too. No sitting quietly for her!

Yeah, I’m with Kim; my girls would be stomping around and throwing mud with your boys. They hate when I talk on the phone.

I’m with the last 2. Your kids are just kids, that’s all. Mine do the exact same thing, but they don’t wait for the phone to ring – it happens all the time!
