Two movies that are NOT what they seemed:
The Family Stone
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
These days I can’t handle much more emotion than real life already gives me, so I opt for light romantic comedies or American Idol for escapism. I watched the two movies above hoping for a quick fix.
NOT.
Movies like these should come with a rackafracking warning or a Kleenex meter or something. Twelve-year-olds dying of cancer and mothers killing themselves are NOT comedy, people. Don’t cut your trailer to make it seem like they are.
I might sue.

OK. I’ll be sure to run right out and rent those two… NOT. I am with you on the my-own-life-has-plenty-of-emotion thing.
Totally hear you on these two movies — I saw the Family Stone in theaters (B/C I am totally in
l-o-v-e with Luke Wilson) and nearly cried my eyes out.
I liked the movie a lot — but bought my ticket thinking I was going into a romantic comedy!
I complained about the same thing when I saw the Family Stone. I rarely go to the movies, and was expecting a light hearted comedy and was very upset at the sabotage. Name me as a co-plaintiff in your law suit.
Oh boy, now I’m intrigued. Must add these to my Netflix queue.
I’d take Luke Wilson over Owen Wilson any day of the week.
see, Chara knows what I’m talking about. Luke Wilson is dreamy. Owen Wilson’s had his nose broken a few too many times…
I have no desire at all to see Sisterhood, but Family Stone did intrigue me. Which one has the dying kid and I’ll be sure to avoid that one?
You’re in luck, wordgirl. It was Sisterhood.
Yea, I saw the Family Stone and was totally surprised. comedy – not!
movie rule: if you can’t tell from the trailer what the plot is… someone has a disease.
