Red Meat and Friendship

March 12, 2005 Kim Tracy Prince 3 Comments

This couple is Jennifer and Greg (it seems I do not have a more recent picture of them than this shot from their September 2004 wedding). They had us over for dinner the other night. They made steak and spinach and salad and scalloped potatoes. They did NOT let us help and kept making me sit down. They entertained us with delightful conversation and feigned interest in all things regarding my pregnancy.

I’m singling them out for fame on my website because I know they read it, and they were so good to us. I felt great the next morning because I had eaten delicious food that did not come from a can or package or frozen block. Stewart, on the other hand, has become a serious lightweight, and was slightly hung over after drinking 2 beers and a glass of wine. Still, it was nice to be pampered and to have a reason to shower and leave the house. I even wore some lipstick.

Jennifer & Greg win the Good Friends award. And I am jealous of Stewart, who can drink alcohol. Glad you’re doing well, you are SO in the homestretch!

Glad you enjoyed the meal as we certainly enjoyed having the two of you over. I guess Stew was a bit toooo tired for a full evening (which one of you is pregnant? boooo-hoooooo!). Jen told me that she really enjoyed your company and looks forward to many more evenings just like it.

Thanks for the spotlight on your blog, Kim. We had such a nice time with you two as well. Thanks again for bringing the wonderful merlot and beer. Stewart was hung over, huh? What a lightweight alright! I’m not sure if I told you enough that night, but you look GREAT! You are doing this pregnancy thing so well! I am sure that it is forshadowing of the great mother you’re going to be.
All my best to you- Jen
