Today is the twenty-first day of the April A to Z Challenge. During this month I will be writing blog posts every day (with breaks on Sundays) about the topic “Sh*t I Say” starting with each consecutive letter of the alphabet. This is one crazy project, y’all.
Unbelievable!
There are a lot of things about life that are simply too much. The ridiculous and shocking and sad ways people die. Conversely, the miraculous ways they are saved. Remarkable sights. The mysterious gift of creating children. The bad acting in Breaking Dawn. They are unbelievable, yet they happen.
You get the idea.
I am often shocked into semi-speechlessness by rude people and their bad behavior. For example, the case of elementary school road rage in which a parent threatened to run over a teacher because she was scolding him for parking in a no-parking zone. I say “semi-speechless” because it is rare that I am fully speechless. When I hear a story or encounter such a person, I comment “Unbelievable!” or before lately, “Un-fucking-believable!”
(This is another gift to my young readers. EMF’s “Unbelievable,” in the video above. From the 80’s!)
