It’s only January 6 and I already missed a day. I didn’t do it on purpose. I actually stayed up to watch a movie last night – The Queen (great acting, boring story) – and then went happily to bed and I completely forgot to post.
Things are moving along at House of Prince – the tree is in the backyard and the empty space where it was in our living room has been swept of pine needles. Now on to the business of replacing our furniture and putting everything back where it belongs. And vacuuming. Lots and lots of vacuuming.
One fun thing that January constantly reminds me is that the tax year 2006 is over and it’s time to sort through our receipts. And that reminds me that our 2005 receipts are missing, so it would suck if we got audited for 2005. And that reminds me that hey! We’re being audited for 2004 and it certainly DOES suck!
One day just after Christmas the mailman knocked our door and presented me with 2 certified letters from my friends at the IRS. They were addressed separately to me and Stewart but they were both copies of the same thing: a notice of deliquency. See how fun this is? Apparently they are taking so long to respond to our response to their response to our initial response that the computer automatically generated this letter. Or so says the accountant’s office. Jury’s still out on those people.
Stay tuned for more fascinating financial adventures. I’m sure they will be great reading.

The IRS sucks. Good luck with the audit. Everyone’s worst nightmare. Why don’t they leave the little guys alone and go audit some of those CEO’s who make several hundred billion dollars a year! Go make THEIR lives a living hell!
Umm I hate to break this to you but, those people at the IRS ARE NOT your friends. hahaha
Oh ugh.
