Brady’s first nine months have gone by in a flash, of course. I have been saying all along that I don’t want him to grow. I want him to be a baby for a long time, because there’s a big “if” about additional babies that I don’t even want to think about right now. But truthfully, of course I want him to grow, to be healthy and thrive.
And so I keep feeding him. It shows.
Nine month stats:
Weight: 21 lbs. 2 oz.
Height: 29.25 in.
Skillz: Crawls, pulls up to standing (“advanced!” says the ped.), babbles
Eats: Stage 3 jarred food, homemade pureed veggies, Cheerios, peas, small bits of cheese.
Sleeps: More or less
He is still a delightful child although his repertoire is growing to include various shrieks of displeasure when his favorite thing every – paper – is snatched from his mealy hands. When he starts to cry at night, sometimes he sounds just like Kyle, and one must listen for a moment or two to determine which of the offspring needs to be dealt with this time.
He loves the bath and has a special shriek of displeasure for the end of bathtime. He is very curious and likes to poke and prod everything in his path, although his paths are not very long because he crawls only far enough to reach the nearest vertical surface to pull up to kneeling or standing. The doctor says he will most likely be an early walker.
Hooray. At least that will make me run around more. Nine months off…and counting.

Despite his feeling miserable, he sure looks happy!
Cute, cute, cute
Love Nana & Grandpa
cant wait to see him. and how he is on the plane at this age.
I can’t wait to pinch his chubby little cheeks next month! Hope you’re feeling better. I think he looks like you, btw.
Oh no, he can’t be that big yet! Soon he and Dashiell will be BFFs and running (running!) around the yard trying to steal paper out of each other’s hands.
And Kyle will be too big (sophisticated) to be bothered…
😉
Why oh why do you have a link to Oprah?
