I went ahead and switched this blog to WordPress with a little bit of guidance and some white wine courtesy of Jessica Gottlieb. But then I had to go home and I’ve been on my own ever since. I’ve been researching widgets and plugins and files and code and with everything else going on (night class, buying a house, full time job, two rascally kids, planning the next benefit for HAMO, you know how it is) I’ve been doing it with five minutes here, five minutes there. I need to shut myself in a room for three days with a WordPress expert!
I haven’t figured out how to install any metrics so I have no idea who’s reading. Would you kindly comment and give me some feedback on the new design? In return, I give you this:

That’s adorable!
Go Connecticut libraries! I hate change myself, so it’s a bit disconcerting to see the comment option at the top vs the bottom. I think it looks great!
This format is much easier on the eyes! I’m waiting for all your lovely links on the side.
I love that picture! It makes me what to go the “old” WH library. (and the misspelling of our last name is the cherry. *sigh* the good ole days)
I have been way too busy to do much beyond work, eat, sleep. So on a rare day off one of the first things I did was catch up on your blog. Your new blog! (to my surprise) I like it! It looks de-cluttered.
Your website looks more streamlined. Nice! Recently I jumped into a new website too for another blog. I am completely clueless and lost. Wish I could help you. I’ve been looking into going back to school just so that I may learn how to best utilize the darn thing. I have so many ideas that I wish I could implement but I can’t even get the templates to do what I want. Blah!
Good Luck!
Hi, welcome to WordPress! You need Statcounter! Just go to Statcounter.com, and there is also a WP plugin, I think. I personally love the Thesis theme, no coding required! It’s only about $100 and SEO optimized. Take a look at my blog to see what it can look like 🙂 But the design options are endless.
Best,

Looks pretty good.
I like the colors. Easy on the eyes. That picture is priceless!
Love the newspaper clipping. That is SO cool!
LOVE that picture of you!! I am also digging the new blog layout but sorry Icannot assist in all the WP widgets themes and plugins I ask hubby to help me with those – maybe I could rent him to you…
