I’d like to announce another food victory. I made pizza tonight because I had a small handful of leftover ground turkey in the fridge. What the heck can put that in, I wondered. Then I came up with the genius idea of Cheeseburger Pizza, which I know is not original but the kids didn’t know that.
The crust came out beautifully – as soon as the breadmaker beeped I rolled the dough out, slapped the freshly browned turkey on one half of it, then covered the whole thing with leftover sauce and shredded mozzarella. I can only fit a standard sized cookie sheet in my toy oven, so I rolled out the dough in a rectangular shape and folded over the extra crust so the slice are sort of half-calzone, half-slice.
The kids wolfed it down. Brady even ate a second piece. With the turkey and everything!
I am still up and yapping at Ragu’s Facebook page for the Mom’s the Word on Dinner program. Check out all the videos there where other moms share their stories and tricks for getting healthy food into their children’s bellies. You’ll thank me. I swear.

What a wonderful idea. Now I want to make that!
I hope I am not bothering you (I sent an email to an email address found through here, but I am not sure if it is still valid or went through, and I am hoping to find out before Sunday).
I stumbled upon a blog in a search for hikes, and it mentioned your name on top, here is the link: http://www.uptake.com/blog/family_vacations/grab-the-kids-and-head-for-the-hills-in-los-angeles_14195.html/comment-page-1#comment-166867
The picture that is attached to that post about the hikes, I wondered if you knew which of the trails it is from?
Thank you so much. I hope you have a wonderful day!
