This has been one of those days when I am especially thankful that I am not working. At a job. At a company where I have to be there at any certain time. I’ve been so exhausted today. I read an entire issue of the New Yorker from December (well, I skipped the articles on dance and art – they’re too artsy even for ME – and I skimmed through the long long political articles, because I just couldn’t think that hard). I watched 2 episodes of A Baby Story. I watched some Oprah, but it was about men killing their wives, so I finally went and took a shower. The only thing I’ve accomplished today is the painting of the nursery – did I mention that? – so I feel fulfilled.
I have ten friends who are pregnant…and then there were nine. LD had her baby 6 days ago and just got around to telling us about it today. Congratulations, mamma! Here we are in a list of initials, in order of due date, as I recall:
LD – had Sophie on 2/12

Am I forgetting anyone?
While you are resting up in preparation of the arrival of baby Prince, I am in training to be a “get-out!” grandma. (Unless a better nomenclature comes along that fits, Grandma it is.) Today at WW I could hear the ladies whispering “She can’t be 50! She doesn’t look like a grandmother!” OOOhhhhh. BIG ego trip. Then I went to the gym and let my trainer tell a very rich man that I am his favorite work out client.
Five more days!
I can’t believe the rest of the Tracy family is not posting comments! The whole point of this website is to stay in touch! So come on FAMILY! Let Kim know you are reading her very funny stuff!!!
I keep meaning to leave comments for you, but I’m too preglazy (new word). I had to post today because we are livin parallel pregnant lives. Yesterday I took the day off, did nothing, watched both episodes of Baby Story and 3/4 of Oprah about the demented husbands. AND we’re naming our baby Zoe, just like the second family in a baby story. Small world. Anyhoo, what I’ve really been meaning to tell you is that I SO feel your pain about taping & painting. We painted the nursery last month, and first I spent about 5 straight hours scraping off the tape and glue that the previous owners thought might be a good idea to use on the walls. And taping… please. The painting is the EASY part. One thing to note: swearing like a pirate does not in fact assist with the tape/glue removal. But it makes you feel better.
Hey Kim
I definitely check in from time to time to see how you are progressing and your new adventures. Pretty sure grampa reads this too.
Just didn’t want you to think no one in the family was following your blog.
Miss you
Love
Kathy
