I’m having some trouble with my mojo these days. Something about juggling full time work/part time blogging/full time family and oh, Mommy’s sense of self all competing for time and attention, and this blog suffers, so it’s killing my stats. I hate that.
There was some discussion at the Ultimate Blog Party IRL tonight about posting gems from the archives to keep the daily posting action going. At first I thought “do I even have gems in my archives?” But then I realized I will let you decide. After all, many of you weren’t even reading this crap back then. Hence, this will be “gems from the archives” week. Take a walk down memory lane with me, won’t you? It’s where I’m living lately.

Being so behind the trend, I just bought a pashmina-like wrap, only to find that now everyone is wearing ponchos. Me and my polyester scarf are SO last year.
In a similar fashion, I only recently figured out what a blog is, when a friend turned me on to Dooce.com. Now I am addicted, and inspired – what a great way to update my peeps who are spread out all over the country. Especially now that they’re going to actually WANT updates. Now that I’m…pregnant.
Hopefully, if you are one of my friends or family members, you’ll know that I’m pregnant before you find this website. I plan on unveiling the truth behind my gas and bloating as early as next week, when I hit the 3-month mark. Then I’ll give you this web address and urge you to check for new ultrasound pics, etc. Someday we can put baby pictures on this site, too, and maybe you won’t feel so far away.
This is my first post, and I have no idea what I’m doing. So bear with me. I have to go take some Gas-X. Until next time.

I recently started the same thing, not so much to have daily posts, but to highlight old favorites that are gathering dust in my archives. It’s a fun look back, too, even for me to read yours. 🙂
If it matters, I can’t keep up with bloggers who post daily! I do a better job staying current when a person writes about 3-4 times per week.
