One of the great things about this blog is that it allows me to procrastinate AND feel productive at the same time. Just like napping or snacking – those two activities are ESSENTIAL for me and my growing baby now, right? When I nap, it is a production. I have to bar the pets from entering the room. I have to make sure it is nice and dark. I snuggle up under the amazing flannel quilt my mother made for me for Christmas, and sometimes I even use earplugs. Stewart hasn’t really figured out the seriousness of my naps yet. If someone calls for me, even if the bedroom door is CLOSED and the room is DARK, he’ll happily tell the caller that sure, she’s here, hold on, and bring the phone right to my groggy body.
Anyway. It’s a very rainy day, another in a long line, and we were going to visit the California Science Center today to see the Bodyworlds exhibit (if I were savvy in HTML I would put a link here) but when I called for advance tickets I was told they are sold out until 6pm tonight. WhatEVER. That is fate telling me I should take this time to be productive. I have a whoooollllleeee bunch of stuff to do, and I think the first thing on the list is a nap.
I also want to report to the other pregnant women who read this site that I have a new and ongoing craving: cinnamon rolls. The other day, for lack of a Dunkin Donuts in my area, I drove around aimlessly looking for a worthy donut shop that might have such a treat, and I found Mama’s Donuts at the corner of Louise and Sherman Way. There are 2 Vietnamese girls who run the counter and if you ask for a cinnamon roll and a small coffee you get served with a smile and it only costs $1.60, AND they throw little donut holes in the bag, too. SO GOOD.
