I usually ignore banner ads and sidebar ads and the like, but I use Gmail now, (and I have a dear friend who works for Google, so I guess a click-through supports her daughter’s education fund in some infinitesimal way) and something caught my eye this morning.
This company will create a doll that looks exactly like your kid, for your kid to play with. While that idea might strike some as adorable, I think it’s sad and creepy, and it reminds me of an episode of The Twilight Zone in which the doll was evil and it switched bodies with the little girl.
Ick.
That’s way too ‘Poltergeist’ for me.

oh the my twin dolls yeah I think they are really creepy!
My nieces got them and yes they are freaky! The one looked nothing like her but the other niece oh my goodness just like her! CREEPY!
Dolls freak me out anyone. But one that looks like the kid, too?
