I’m tired, and cranky, and I almost crawled into bed with my tail between my legs tonight because I have so much to do. And then I got an email from the co-founder of Help a Mother Out that put the wind back in my sails. And then I realized once again that what I am doing is important, that if each one of us does a little something, the enormous behemoth of a problem can be lessened.
I’ve come in contact with such inspirational people through this effort. People who have donated their time and skills, their money, their networks. People who just want to help. There will be a gratitude-soaked post later on this blog and in other places where I will describe each of them.
For now, just let it be known:
This party is ON.
Notice the button on the upper left of my sidebar. That takes you to the webpage for the event, which lists all the sponsors and donors and lovely people who are helping me pull this off. It also contains a link to Paypal, where you can donate funds specifically tied to this event, 100% of which will be used to purchase more diapers.
Please pass it on! If you are willing to put the button on your sidebar, let me know and I will email it to you with the code. I don’t know how to put a “grab my button!” thingy up here. The event is also coming to a Facebook page near you. But I can’t face Facebook right now.
You’re gonna get sick of me talking about this, but I can’t help it. I can’t get the image of the poor baby sitting in a soiled diaper for an entire day, so that he has such bad diaper rash that he gets an infection and cries incessantly, and then his overworked and underpaid parents abuse him because they can’t stand his crying. It happens.
Like I’ve said before, whatever you feel about the parents who can’t afford diapers, don’t blame the children. Just help them if you can.
You might as well come and party with us while you’re at it.

If I weren’t so far away I would be there… hope it is a great success!
