It’s been 108-112 degrees here for the past four days. I’m tired. So here’s my lastest column for The Mommy Times. It contains a few stories seen here on this very site! You can say you saw it first!

Laughed hysterically through the whole thing. Was able to laugh because (a) I was not you and (b) I was not a fellow passenger stuck on the plane with you and your children 😉 Me? Other than desperately evacuating to South Carolina due to a frickin’ hurricane when my daughter was 5 months old, I’ve not yet been brave enough to venture further than Orlando with her! Travel well timed, of course, so she naps in the car!
Oh my, I laughed out loud reading your story, and that doesn’t happen very often! Especially the “I’m pooing now”!
I just returned from a business trip with baby last night, so I felt your pain. A few shared moments:
1. I also swore off mini-vans, rented one on a recent trip, and fell in love. Especially the side and back doors that open and close from the key remote.
2. I didn’t have to change R. on the flight, but went into a mild panic when he started grunting mid-way through our Southwest flight. I have no idea how I would handle a blow-out without a changing table. I never thought of using the aisle, but would probably prefer the starving method as well!
3. I’ve heard parents winge about the “sleep schedule” for years, and thought they were nuts or pathetic for organizing their lives around their kids sleeping. Now I totally understand.
