Kyle is home sick today. He has a terrible hacking cough that I would hate to have my children around if the shoe was on the other foot, so we kept him home from daycare. He feels fine and has tons of energy, of course, so it’s not like the sick days I remember as a child, when I would snuggle down on the couch to watch TV all day, my mother bringing me chicken noodle soup in a china bowl with saltines on the side.
Now that we’ve said he’s sick, Kyle picked up on that fact and walks around the house telling us “I’m sick” with a pathetic little look on his face, JUST LIKE HIS FATHER DOES.
On a separate note, I’m not sure how he picked this one up:
On Sunday night I took Kyle to a friend’s house to have dinner and play with her little girl. At the dinner table, Kyle tipped his sippy cup to the side and said “This one’s for my homie.”
I kid you not.
HAHAHAHA! He’ll be the ‘coolest’ kid in Connecticut!
Wow, the gang problem in the valley is worse than I thought!
Hi there! Yvonne from Joy Unexpected referred me to you. I am working on a project hiring blogger across the country to get paid blogging about enriching and educational stuff to do in their cities with kids. THe company is a nationally known website and it’s a paid position. If you are interested in hearing more, I’d love to speak with you.
That just made my day!!!
Ha. That cracked me up.
At least, if he has homies, he’s a polite little boy who always remembers and acknowledges them!
Go Kyle. He is a cool little guy 😉
