I haven’t spent any good quality time with the blog lately. Furtive posting while at work is not fulfilling. Now that I have time and opportunity I don’t feel very witty. I know you know the feeling. But I am forcing myself to post because I don’t know when I will get a chance to be alone with my thoughts again.
I posted a bunch of recent pictures below. Kyle got a potty yesterday, because I bought one during a Babies R Us shopping spree. Thought I would just have it here in the house so it won’t be such a foreign object when the time comes to show him how to use it. I am reading “Diaper Free Before 3” to study up on the subject, as is my custom. I hope potty training doesn’t go as badly as nap training did. But you know what? I HATE my carpet so much that I guess it won’t matter if Kyle craps and pees on it a few times. And the fabulous C&B rug can be rolled up and put aside to avoid accidents.
A word about homesickness. I tried to imagine the reality of relocating our little family to CT and it actually made me a little bit sad. I will miss California when we go. I’m no longer a big fan of Los Angeles, but I do love the weather and the opportunities and the cool stuff that you can do. Not that we ever do any of those cool things. Today we visited friends and drove by the Animal Planet Expo – a big fair put on by the Discovery Channels that celebrated animals and pet adoptions and such. Would’ve been a cool family outing. Oh, except that it was 104 degrees today.
So anyway. There’s actually a lot more to this pondering of home but my older kid (my husband, of course) just completely interrupted my train of thought because he wanted to go to sleep and there were no sheets on the bed. No, he couldn’t just deal with it himself. Haven’t you been reading this blog for a while?

But think of the babysitters you would have at any moment? For Kyle and any siblings….. You know what we do on Sat nights, not like we couldn’t take him along LOL. (except the martinis part of course).
Are you moving?
Yeah, did I miss something? Are you moving? Or are you mixing up your verb tenses again (aka drinking while blogging)?
I think Aunt Kathy posts more than I do! She must wait just as anxiously as Dad and I do for you to post more pics.
