Hello, world. It’s 12:30 in the morning and I am still up. Still. UP!
I left my homework to the last minute and of course my computer decided to screw up my whole plan. It froze up and threatened to burn all of my work so I had to load all of my information into the laptop and work through the night. It feels just like finals week and guess what! It is, in student life, finals week. I have that same dry hungover feeling I used to get from way too much coffee and sleeping in the study carrel. Good times.
I guess the comparison can go further. The homework today is taxes. I have to get it right because there’s money in the balance. And though I never gave it a thought at the time, my grades in college were very, very expensive, and I have my generous, sacrificing parents to thank for giving me the opportunity to earn them where I did. I may not have gotten straight A’s in college, but I learned way more than the things they taught me in class, and I got a membership card in the Notre Dame family for life. Good times continue.
I know I sound all crazy and stuff, and maybe that’s because I HAVEN’T SLEPT IN THREE DAYS!
HAHAHAHAH!
The good things about me doing this are
-I am not being crawled on by children
-Y IM’d me for a little while, breaking up the monotony and confusion
-I am totally rocking out, like a crazy person, on my iPod. I do not want to know what I sound like, hoarse and congested, singing along to things like “You’ll Be In My Heart” and “Never Say Goodbye” and “Angry Johnny” at almost 1 in the morning with a housefull of sleeping boys. I sure wish I had a cold glass of Southern Comfort in my hand. Wait…I think we have some in the bar…
I know I’ll regret this post in the morning. You better hope I sleep in.

Don’t regret it. You made me laugh out loud at work – I love the “crazy person” banner too…
Why are you doing taxes in December??? Next time sing the two princes song too!

Yes, taxes in December??? Yikes!
That totally made me laugh. Remember when we used to move into the genetics lab to study and make crowns from or organic chemistry models. Such fun. Good luck with the tax situation
