Recent Things

Today I fit into some pants that I haven’t worn since the beginning of my pregnancy. Yay!

On Saturday night Kyle bit my left nipple for the first time. With his two teeth. It really hurt. He has yet to start on the right nipple.

On Friday night I got very, very drunk. See below.

On Sunday afternoon Stewart and I took Kyle to church. He cooed and shrieked enough to give Stewart a “get out of church free” card. I joined them right before communion. I haven’t gone to church voluntarily without joining a wedding, funeral, or christening in many years. I felt like a big faker.

On Saturday I was very, very hung over. I intended to spend my day at the mall, the nail salon, the hair salon, and the hiking trail. The only one I got to was the hair salon, and even then my stomach was violently protesting. After I got my hair cut I went to Trader Joe’s and shakily purchased Vitamin Water and oyster crackers. I expected the clerk to either tease me or cover his mouth with a handkerchief but he was respectfully discreet.

Today I went to the chiropractor. My back feels the best it has been since last November when I threw it out for the first time. Yet the chiropractor still wants to see me once a week for a while longer. Does he have a crush on me, or does he have a crush on the $25 I pay him every visit?

On Friday morning I opened my birthday presents. I got the following gifts:

From my mother – a gift card for Macy’s to be spent on new cosmetics.

From Leanne – a necklace, belt, purse, and a light reading book.

From Elena – measuring cups, candles, a gift for Express, and the same light reading book. Great minds (who are pregnant and/or have babies) think alike.

From Tina – a silver locket keychain with my initials engraved on it.

THANK YOU to my fairy gift givers from afar. I did receive other things, but those are the ones that were there by the time of my birthday. They win.
