I saw the doctor this morning. I brought Stewart with me, both for moral support and also so that I wouldn’t have to repeat what the doctor said, if he said anything of consequence.
Bottom line: no plans to induce yet. The doc whipped out the ultrasound machine just to see what’s where. Head down, butt in the air, knees and hands sticking out of my right side. I’m measuring at 38 weeks, which is just a few days ahead of schedule. All in all, everything looks good, and I’ll go back next Wednesday. Stay tuned.
Now it’s naptime.

Later: I’m updating this to add my complaints.
I am now puttering around the house after giving up on a nap that could have been blissful. It wasn’t. Napping is hard. Sleeping is hard. I am very uncomfortable. I’m hot and sweaty and I am the size of a Dumpster which is really hard to position even with pillows. I am heavy and I can’t bend down easily. I have heartburn that will not go away no matter what.
I am looking forward to having this baby and then healing and getting back to my normal energy level. But not until after April 15. That’s only 11 more days. I can make it.

Kim,
Hang in there you know you can make it. We all are praying for you and sending moral support.
Best,
Uncle Steve
Hang in there. I hated this part!!!!!
You Can Do It!
Although, selfishly, I can’t wait to “meet” the newest HOP addition.
Dad laughed when I told him you were hanging in there just for him!
Hang on! You can do it. Just think how nice midnight feedings will seem when you can finally go back to sleep and actually sleep WELL. I just realized today that my hips don’t hurt anymore! And I don’t have heartburn! Just keep thinking about what you have to look forward to. Eighteen days seems long now, but in 32 days (when you have an 18-day-old) it will seem incredibly fast.
