I was excited to post my Weekend Words Challenge photos today, but somehow they are not on the card! I took Kyle to a pumpkin patch and dressed him in an orange polo on purpose for the pictures. I took some great shots of him climbing on pumpkins with his friend Trent. I’m very sad that they have vanished. I’m not sure how it happened – I have a compact flash media card for my Canon Rebel XT. I took the card out and was ready to upload the photos but then saw another photo op so I reloaded the card into the camera. Took some more shots here at home. When I went to upload the whole lot, only the second batch (which came out terribly) was there!
I rarely do this but…. 🙁
Technical difficulties are no fun. I don’t know what is worse; losing them or taking them and not having them come out well. This is usually the case for me. Hope the pumpkin patch was fun!
About three months from now you will take a bunch of pictures somewhere else. And when you try to upload those, the ones from today will suddenly be there. Or something like that.
I’m visiting from Odd Mix’s website and came to look at your WWC photos. I had this same problem with some of my honeymoon photos and I was able to rescue them using photo rescue program. Here is a link that you could try (http://www.datarescue.com/photorescue/). Good luck and I hope you can get them back, I was able to get all but a few of my honeymoon photos back.
I have been known to CRY when I lose pictures. So your little frowny face? Totally accepted. I’m sorry girl. That really blows.
How frustrating! I am sorry… now get out there and take some more and post, dang it!
I have responded to your tag.
That happened to me when my son was about six months old and since my card held about 500 photos, I lost ALL of the photos of his first six months of life!! I had downloaded about 3/4 of them, but I had resized them for emailing, so they were too small to print out at a decent quality.
The thought of it still brings pain to my tummy and tears to my eyes. I feel your pain, sister.
Oh no! I think I’d have a freak-out…if you try that data recovery thing, let us know if it worked for you! Always good to have a little “bag of tricks” should such an emergency arise.
Thanks so much for your comment. I’m sorry about your friend. I don’t know if you ever “get over” things like that – you can only learn to live with that experience as part of you. And I imagine that takes a long time.
