Richard Marx Loves Me

July 29, 2007 Kim Tracy Prince 3 Comments

Driving around the old ‘hood, I was listening to the local radio station’s 80’s weekend. It was a Richard Marx rock block – old classics like “Don’t Mean Nothin” and “Shoulda Known Better.” It brought me back to the time in high school when I went to see Rich in concert. Somehow I ended up in or near the front row and guess what happened. He looked me in the eyes and sang to me. And though we have drifted apart over the years, I know he still carries that torch for me, and I feel bad that I broke his heart.

I loved Richard Marx in his hey day.
I grew up in hair band — power ballad era. I miss those days.
