Book Binge 1: The Time Traveler’s Wife

book binge

I’m participating in the Book Binge, in which, during April, I log all the books I read. I’m not sure if I’m supposed to review them, too, but I shall, because it’s fun. And because my book club is skipping its April meeting, so where else will I be able to critique?

The Time Traveler’s Wife, by Audrey Niffenegger, was incredible. I finished it today. Actually, this is the second time I read it, but this time it was for book club. I think I started reading it last week, so I guess it doesn’t count as a full April Book Binge entry, but still.

The story is contemporary, about a man who travels through time sporadically, against his will, and the woman who lives a regular non-time-traveling life who loves him. It’s riveting and romantic and it’s one of those books that kept me up late at night because I couldn’t bear to not know what happened next. Even the second time around. I highly recommend it.

    Book Binge. That’s cool.
I loved Time Traveler’s Wife as well. I read it about 2 years ago & I think I read almost the entire thing in one weekend because, like you, I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next.
I’m looking forward to seeing what else you read this month!

I read that last fall, and I loved it. Absolutely rivetting, and when I wasn’t entranced by the plot, I was overwhelmed with admiration for the author who crafted it in such a clever, convoluted, yet crystal clear way. No mean feat!

one of my favorite books in recent memory. I keep trolling the bookstore “N” aisle to see if she’s written anything else.
