The title, that’s me covering my ears and hiding in my home office with the door closed trying not to hear American Idol. I want to wait until it’s done so I can watch the taped version. You see, I got home from OLD NAVY at 9:20 and I had already missed the first part. So I went to take my shower and when I came out it STILL wasn’t over…they’re so unpredictable about the length of the Wednesday show each week. Grrr.
Old Navy, how I’ve missed you. I dropped a hot $200 bucks in there tonight with my 20% coupon…I really needed clothes for work and Old Navy is the perfect place because the office environment is pretty casual. I still want to look nice, though. And, Old Navy is cheap.
So I finally got better…no pneumonia. It took so long and I felt like I started this job with a minus one. But so far the people there are really nice, the kitchen is stocked with lots of great snacks, and they have a soda machine! Oh yeah, and the show is really cute and I think I’m going to love working on it. Another good thing is the commute – only 3o minutes each way.
I dropped Kyle off at the babysitter’s this morning and this time it wasn’t so bad, although we still looked like lovers parting for a year when I left. When he comes home for the day he smells like the babysitter’s perfume, so now he gets a bath every night. I used to only bathe him every other day because he has such sensitive skin, but now I want him to smell like MY baby, not hers. Plus now he is a sweaty little BOY, not so much a baby anymore. 🙁
I am still not sleeping very well so I got some Unisom, and that kind of works. But I’m afraid to get dependent on a sleep aid, so I am going to try to go drug-free tonight. Watching American Idol at 10PM should do the trick.

Ummm….so tell me what you think of American Idol!?!? I’m still reeling from the loss of Chris personally….
I’m sooo happy that you are feeling better!
I’m really sorry that last night’s person was voted off. REALLY sorry.
Man, we haven’t talked in awhile. I’m dying to hear details, more details about daycare, etc. call me. I’m glad you’re finally feeling better!
Good snacks is an essential for any job!
I’m with you on the perfume thing. My kids always smell like my father-in-law’s aftershave when they visit and it bugs me. They get baths so they smell like themselves again.
Oh my heart went out to you when you reported that you had to call in sick on your first day of your fabulous new job. Must’ve been the pits. But I’m glad you’re feeling better.
Ah, yes…big shout out for Old Navy from over here too. Fun and cheap for the whole family!
Sounds like job is going pretty well…good for you. I’ve done the working mom thing before too…it ain’t easy.
I use the dot dot dot thing too much sometimes…sorry…
