Thanks for the dedication, Kimmy! It helps when you never knew the 2 parent gig.
Jackson is good at being independent and entertaining himself when he needs to, that sometimes he needs to wait.
“Real” dinner only occurs on the weeknds, cuz after work, after daycare, I have about 2.3 minutes to get dinner ready before melt down (1 minute meat in microwave/1 minute veggies in microwave; milk in cup; pop open fruit; done!)
You learn to leave dinner and dishes until after bedtime (but hopefully get the milk back in the frig).
The worst part is coming out of the bedroom, your angel asleep, you completely exhausted and look at kitchen, dining room, living room, and bathroom, which were all clean when you go home, completely trashed. Last night I longed to have someone to at least load the dishwasher.
Congratulations on surviving! and Fooey on the stay at home rocker dad. Jackson giggles when we walk into day care each day and gets how to share (for now) at 13 months.
love, smb
IRS…audit? GACK! I actually had the IRS send me a bill for 28 cents of interest one year. 28 cents? The stamp and check cost more than 28 cents!
I’ve got you on my favorites list now so I’ll be back!
lol
