The Grand Canyon is a special place to me. It’s an unimaginably huge cavern for my dreams of travel and exploration, for fantasy, for discovery. I went there with my mother in 1995 en route to Los Angeles to start my new life. We didn’t have much time to explore, so I got only a taste of the adventure that I know it held in its baked and warm vessel.
Last month I flew to Chicago for BlogHer ’09. On the way back, the nice pilot alerted the passengers that there was a lovely view of the canyon to our left. And I just happened to have a new bad-ass iPhone handy.
The canyon beckons me. Your adventure is right here, it says. Oh, I’ll be back.

That was beautiful! I think it’s calling me too!
I’ve never been but want very badly to go one day. I think when Heather is 12-ish or more so she will truly appreciate and remember it. The movie Grand Canyon is one of my favorites ever and only makes me want to go there more.
Beautiful.
WOW! Thanks for sharing!
