Please tell me somebody gets the pop culture reference in this post title. Anyone?
Now that my photos are all done through Snapfish it takes a dog’s age to get them all organized on my computer. I promise I’ll do that and share more but here’s one quickie. Look at my little shmoogy shmoog!!!

I got kind of jonesed on writing today because I attended a job forum conducted by the PGA (Producer’s Guild, not Professional Golfers). It was like speed dating but with employers and potential employees. By the end of the forum I was exhausted and sick of myself but really excited about the idea of working again. Who knew? Plus, I met three other mothers who work in the field. Actually one of them is someone I already knew and worked for once. She’s a badass head of a company and I asked her if I can call her for advice on being a working mother and she said “Please do…but it’s not good.”
On the way home I left a message for the woman we chose to become Kyle’s babysitter. It was not an easy decision because I wound up having three good candidates. We picked her for many reasons but I still curdle with fear at leaving Kyle with a stranger no matter how great her qualifications, how much other parents love her, and how clean her criminal record is. At this point the field is still technically wide open because she hasn’t called me back yet and I haven’t called the others to tell them I made a decision. So I can still change my mind.
Then tonight after dinner and sipping a cold Sam Adams I wrote my latest column for the Mommy Times. Stay tuned for the link. And if the editor screws it up again I’ll post it here.
