Kyle’s godmother, Auntie Lisa, took him to the Skirball’s Noah’s Ark exhibit last Friday. It was her birthday present to him, along with the book “On Noah’s Ark” by Jan Brett who is an amazing illustrator.
They were gone for hours. It was one of those absences that left the house so quiet I didn’t know what to do with myself. I didn’t anticipate that they would be gone so long, so every little noise made me think they were home, and I didn’t want to engage in a project that would be interrupted by their return.
When they did return, Kyle was very pleased and tired enough that he went right to sleep for a late nap without a fuss. That alone made the whole venture a great success.

Hi, I just wandered into your blog while browsing and I have to say those are the best days…when the kids are entertained and happy and then come home to sleep. What a break!!
