Wild Things

February 15, 2006 Kim Tracy Prince 1 Comment

Today we went to the zoo. Since siging up for a membership to the L.A. Zoo last August, I have not been back until now. It’s pretty much the same, but today it was in the 60’s instead of boiling hot. A little progress.

Kyle enjoyed looking at the meerkats and the flamingos. He slept through the reptile exhibit and didn’t really look at the monkeys. He watched the bird show, but thought the lame comic who led the show really wasn’t that funny.

She reminded me of my departed friend Robin, who was a lot funnier. Robin could be your tour guide to any Los Angeles experience. She knew where the best shops, tacos, and margaritas could be found in any neighborhood you might wind up in, and she usually had something sarcastic to say about it. She left us a few years ago, but I see her in the oddest places, as above, making really bad jokes about birds that talk.

Anyway. Kyle and I were accompanied by Jessica and Trent, who is one day younger than Kyle. They are best buddies.

And this is Trent’s pretty Mommy:
