Making Progress With the Nursery

February 14, 2005 Kim Tracy Prince Leave a Comment

I finally gave in to my withdrawal symptoms and hooked my computer back up to the internet. I had unplugged everything because I was painting the office walls. Don’t worry, I have been wearing a mask and goggles and keeping everything well ventilated. Now the office, which was puke-beige, is a lovely combination of brick red and mocha latte brown.

I did start in the nursery, which is the whole point, but I made the terrible decision to strip paint from the wood trim because there are four layers of old ugly beige-on-beige (with some pink (?) and yellow in there, too) and it turned into this horrible project that I never should have even considered but now the damage is done and my poor baby must pay. Every day he will stare up at badly stripped molding and windowsill, the chipped paint markedly visible under the fresh coat of Dill Pickle. I have scarred him for life, and he isn’t even due for 8 more weeks. Go Irish.
