At my house, dinner happens in waves – first the kids, then maybe mom, then dad when he gets home. OR if dad gets home early, we might all eat together. But one kid will pop up, then the other, like the varmints in Whack a Mole. Neither of them can sit still for long.
We (the Moms in Moms the Word on Dinner) want to know what dinnertime is like at YOUR house. Do you sit down and eat a meal every evening, together? Are you choking down a microwave burrito while you drive from soccer practice to ballet class? Do you eat while you watch TV, or while doing homework? Or at the office while you’re working late?
Curious.

All of the above. It doesn’t help that husband’s vegan, I’m supposed to be low carb, and the teenager doesn’t like anything but roast chicken and beef. I used to enjoy cooking, but planning meals these days is the bane of my existence.
Almost every night we sit down and eat dinner together. It is often the only 15 or 20 minutes we all 3 have together all day. Dinner is most definitely not always fancy… tonight it was cheese quesadillas and salad.
