Today is the nineteenth day of the April A to Z Challenge. During this month I will be writing blog posts every day (with breaks on Sundays) about the topic “Sh*t I Say” starting with each consecutive letter of the alphabet. This is one crazy project, y’all.
Suck it.
I’ll credit the Internets, once again, for bringing this perfect phrase into my life. I often think it to myself or write it in emails, blog posts, etc., but I don’t often say it directly TO people, and even then it’s in reference to other people. I think that maybe I am, as I’ve said before, pretty diplomatic in a direct confrontation, and I rarely say what I really WANT to say because that wouldn’t get me anywhere.
Plus, it’s not very nice.
So, for example, this evening I was driving my family back from the beach. We were on a two-lane road from Malibu to the 101, and the hotshot in the Audi SUV was tailgating me even though I was driving at the speed limit and the fog was very thick. I thought to myself “If this guy thinks I’m going to risk my life and my family’s lives so he can get to his cocktail hour 30 seconds earlier, he can #suckit.”
Oh yeah, since #suckit came to me mostly on Twitter and from my friend Erin, The Queen of Spain, I think it with a hashtag. Don’t you do that sometimes? If you are a Twitter user and say you don’t, you are lying, and you can suck it.
In second place for the Sh*t I Say beginning with the letter S, I give you the Prince Family Singers:
Soft Kitty
This is a lullaby that Sheldon relies on to make him feel better when he is sick. He makes Penny sing it to him. Purr, purr, purr.

This post dose NOT #suckit
The funny thing is, I say it in my head with the hashtag AND as one word. All the time.
Yes, I know. I know. I have issues.
but….I can’t complain, my #suckit’d-ness brought me all of you… which certainly does not #suckit 🙂
I love Brady’s eye rolling at the end. He is so expressive. Yay for the Prince Family Singers.
lol pretty funny. I don’t say stuff like to people either even when I want to.

I love Sheldon and Soft Kitty way more than I probably should. Jim Parsons cracks me up.
I tell people to suck it all the time (but only in my head). No hashtags for that one, but I do think of other terms with their hashtags, like I never write anymore, I’m always #amwriting.
Wishing you continued success with the A to Z challenge,
Jocelyn
