There is this weird thing now – my children, who have historically been TOTAL hams, are suddenly camera shy.
That is, of course, unless they have control of the camera and/or are interested in making ridiculous faces at it.
Gone are the sweet smiles I can get out of them with no coaxing, especially for something as important as the family holiday photo. For that one, we had to bribe and threaten Brady to get him to even look at the camera.
The pictures below were taken on our way to the start of the Great Race, in which Kyle and I ran/walked a mile. Our entrance fees went towards raising money for his school (as pretty much all of our expenses do these days, it seems). I tried to get some shots of the kids as we walked there.
Even when Kyle finally agreed to show his face, Brady still demurred. In the photo below he is hiding behind Stewart. Can you see him?
The title of this post is a nod to the 80’s classic of the same name by Kajagoogoo. You know you’re old when you see those words and you instantly starting humming the tune. For those of you who are still disgustingly young (I’m talking to you Kate, Desiree, and Laura) here is a audio visual reference:

Buaahahaha!

Kids are growing up kiddo!
